Personal View of the Gun Registry

Being the child of 2nd generation of Sami (“marken”) immigrants , crossed with generations of Metis (French) on the western prairies, I have many good memories, which have a direct connection with “Explosive Actuated Tool’s”: as I was taught that a fire arm is a tool, not a toy: and have witnessed when accidents happen, luckily no harm to others, just objects. Most times by caused by neglect, amateurs & professionals alike, their accidents are the excuses, though it all comes down to one thing, due to NOT KNOWING your TOOL.

Since I could walk, my Metis Grandfather & I, would go out culling gophers, coyotes, deer & fish, either in his truck or on a horse drawn wagon, which is where I learned about a very useful tool, a tool for food, predator control & “Plinking”. He taught care and control of fire arms, along with his knowledge of animals, plants, religion and people.

He had been a coal miner when his first child was born, by the time I came along, he had 8 more children and managing a Co-operative Ranch, he setup and managed 3 ranches for a Government /Indigenous Agricultural program, from which he retired.
Only to keep living with the same practices and beliefs until he passed:

His practices and beliefs were about “living with the land and it will supply you with more then you need,
You work against the land, you will starve”, which is why he had plenty to share.

My Sami Grandfather passed 8 years before I came along, but though his close friends I got to know him, there it wasn’t so much of living with the land; it was living off the land. All were experienced miners, builders, blacksmiths who learned to become Farmers, including my Grandfather; after their arrival to Canada.

The similarities of the two cultures, as I found out later in life, pertaining to religion, health and way of life are similar comparison of Pyramids of the east to Pyramids of the west.

My Father ,having been raised on one section of land and the gift of music, he went on to be a grain buyer in the elevators that used to dot our landscape, to being honored in a Provincial parade for his musical talents. Those same small communities that had helped him gain so much, began closing down, he then went into the Hotel/Restaurant Industry, from there to a successful career in the Industry of  Broadcasting .

It was when he became the proprietor of the Hotel, is where I learned more about “Explosive Actuated Tools*”.
We lived in separate quarters inside the 9 room hotel; it was a hunting hot spot for Water fowl, upland birds and larger game, rooms were booked five years ahead of time, from across Canada, United States and a few from Europe.

The only hotel for 11 miles to the south, 15 miles to the east, 30 miles to the north & 60 miles to the west, it was a busy place.
I had heard many stories about the community and E.A.T’s , many of those who I knew were veterans of 1st, 2nd , Korea, Vietnam & other Peace Keepers, of whom all I had hunted & fished with and privileged to sit in on their stories.

The Hotel was built about 1890, with many stories, such as a man riding his horse into the Hotel with a rifle in his hands, shooting the lights off the ceiling ( 1950’s), building a bon fire inside the Bar when the temperature dropped no power or water: more importantly was to keep the beer from freezing (1960’s) or having the whole town inside the hotel, bachelors, widows, children, whole families, all there for survival, when a blizzard hit and locked in the town for 7 days: that’s when snowmobiles were able to travel 11 miles to get propane, took another 3 days for roads to get cleared (1970’s), Bar room brawl of 1 against 5, home town boy won (1980’s).

At the age of seven, business was put upon me, working with my family in the business of rooms, food and bar, until hunting/ harvest season came around and that is when the business flourished and went a little to the wild side.
Along with daily chores, when the hunters came I took care of cleaning and eviscerating the hunter’s game, an average day would bring in 250 ducks/Geese and upland, $0.25 per duck, $0.50 per goose, prices went up the following year.
At that time I was the age of eight and became involved in wildlife conservation, at eleven I was Guiding hunters for Game Birds, Big Game, Varmints and Fishing, hunters from across North America: I did this by getting the land owners permission, cooking breakfasts, taking them to location , my mother and sister would be looking after their laundry and food, my father would be tending the bar, most times 11:00am till 1:00am, while still juggling other obligations to our community and I would be cleaning their day's game, along with their fire arm's, repairing when I could or send them to a gun smith/home with it if I couldn't.

Three times a week or more, there would be “near misses”, like laying down in a goose pit and your client “Wants” you beside them due to your age, and pulls both barrels on a 10 gauge shotgun, 6 inches from your face; the poetic justice here is that it was his first and last hunt for the next 2 weeks, he dislocated his shooting shoulder, his buddies went on to have their best game bird hunt in years.

Two customers, showed up one year and had more ammunition / guns then what we had for game, they had full automatics and their truck was weighted down with ammunition, I didn’t want to see what all else they had, last I heard, they were caught with over limits and and possession of an endangered species.

Many hunter’s I took out, did not know the difference between species of game, of either birds or deer, let alone eagles, swans, goats, cattle and horses ( Canadians and non-Canadians).  Being harassed about my Mother hunting with me at an evening river shoot,(she was delivering cooked food) yet she out shot that Skeet Shooting Champion on a pie plate I tossed up, my Grand father had many students.

I would go alone behind the grain elevators, in town, to shoot rodents ,both those who ran and that flew.
My first Fire Arms Safety when I was nine with our conservation club, repeated it again for a hunter safety course at our school when I was twelve. A couple of years later, I was exposed to RCMP firearms training/competition shooting while in cadets, where I took an interest in biathlon. During my life from first steps to adulthood, I was surrounded by E.A.T’s, basically always within my reach.

I went on to enroll into being a Gun Smith and after the first few sessions of the course, the  Long Gun Registry was brought into law.
At that point we were informed of the extra training we will need to comply with the registry and its complications, when to me the only thing that was needed instead was to register the user, not the tool.

If you were to go to a point in time and stop the invention of Fire Arms, you would have to go back to the time of Marco Polo, when he took the knowledge of gun powder and rockets from China to Europe, it was Europeans that put it into tubes too use as a projectile for warfare, first was “Thundersticks” used to scare enemies, then came the cannon and hand cannon, which both have evolved into the Explosive Actuated Tool’s we have today.

Today is a different world, then what it was then most of us when we grew up on the Prairies of Western Canada or across Canada for that matter, attitudes have changed, people have become disassociated with the effects of violence, it is a common thing now for violence to erupt, knives, guns etc; but then look at our television, movies, toys and games, all promoting violent acts with a weapon.

In my opinion those who wish to have an E.A.T, should be able to prove the need for one, register both the firearm and the owner, make sure they have every bit of training to the firearm for the purpose they need, similar to the classes of drivers licenses, the higher the class of training the different levels of caliber, breech function, type and magazine size.
·        Rural/Hunter: keep the registrant to the necessary caliber needed for the game that they wish to hunt, there is no need for any more then a three shot clip unless it is a plinking rifle eg .22 cal

·        Range shooters: they can have their E.A.T’s unregistered and at home, ammunition can only be purchased at the Gun Club that person is registered too and leave any extra ammunition behind: none to be made available in the same residence as the E.A.T, unless they can prove they are hunters in which case, the sales of ammunition are only during hunting season with a max quota for possession, all present storage laws apply.

Personally I believe that only three types of E.A.T’s are necessary , big game, birds and rodents,  a rifle, shotgun and a small caliber varmint rifle, personally I never had the need for any more then a single shot fire arm , unless its for rodents.
Although it only takes one piece of expelled ammunition to cause death, the lesser amount available to use will make the difference between a massacre and an incident.

I have heard many arguments from those who, never held a rifle, let alone own one, that want this registry to be abolished, main argument I heard was” I want protection for my person /family”: trust me, if your faced at the spur of the moment, a rifle or shot gun will not protect you : if you do have enough time to grab your rifle/shotgun chances are your intruder is either unarmed, a barrier/long distance between you.

Best to know who has Explosion Actuated Tool’s then not to know, especially the knowledge/ mentality of the person who has their finger on the trigger.

What kind of Government do we have in Alberta ? Canada?

Our political leaders state that in Canada we have a Democracy, which is defined as:
:A form of government in which the people freely govern themselves; where the executive (or administrative) and law-making (or legislative) power is given to persons chosen by the population; the free people. Legal Dictionary http://www.duhaime.org/LegalDictionary/D/Democracy.aspx

1. Government by the people, exercised either directly or through elected representatives.
2. A political or social unit that has such a government.
3. The common people, considered as the primary source of political power.
4. Majority rule.
5. The principles of social equality and respect for the individual within a community.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/democracy

But then anyone who has witnessed the workings of our Governments in Canada in the past few years, will recognize that we have not been living in a Democratic Society, especially those who live in Alberta, where our Land Owner Rights (as an example) have been dwindling away at a very fast pace, Equal Justice as another example. As all this is by Governments that act on their own with no regard to what the Citizens of

Alberta or Canada have to say, which in turn leads us to another style of Government known as Dictatorship

1.
a country, government, or the form of government in which absolute power is exercised by a dictator.
2.
absolute, imperious, or overbearing power or control.
3.
the office or position held by a dictator.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/dictatorship

There have been many, including Politicians, that use the word Socialist on those who speak up against the actions of our Rights being eroded away for the benefit of Corporations, just as our Environment is suffering for the same reason's:
Definition of Socialism
1
: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2
a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3
: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done
 via http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/socialism

A vast majority of Canadians and Albertans have increasingly stated that our Governments are Puppets of a puppet master, some are under the impression that we are controlled by U.S & other foreign influences , while others claim it to be Corporate interests(possibly all of the above), especially in Alberta where it seems that Large Corporations dealing in Energy , like Oil , Electricity , even our water is who pulls the strings of  the present Alberta Government.

Puppet Governments:

A government that is under the control of another power.

puppet government - a government that is appointed by and whose affairs are directed by an outside authority that may impose hardships on those governed
authorities, government, regime - the organization that is the governing authority of a political unit; "the government reduced taxes"; "the matter was referred to higher authorities"
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/puppet+government

Fascism:
a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.

Seems what really have is a cross between Dictatorship, Socialist & Puppet Governments and Fascism as there is no evidence of Democracy in this country, under our present Leading Political Parties.

Gangs: What are they?

I have heard for many years, with more attention each year regarding the gangs in our cities, before that it was regarding outlaw bike gangs and the harm to our society they inflict.

Webster's definition of a Gang :
1) A group of people associated or working together.
 2) A group of people associated for some criminal or anti-social purpose.
3) To form into a gang.
4) to gang up on; to attack as a group.

 #1:
A group of people associated or working together:
Covers every known association, group, corporation, political party, employees or any congregation of people that work together for any purpose.

#2:
A group of people associated for some criminal or anti-social purpose:

This definition relates directly to the Gangs that we mainly associate this word to, the criminal gangs, street gangs, outlaw biker gangs etc.

#3:
To form into a gang:
This where recruiting come into play, the gang with the most members has the best odds of overcoming rival gangs, in recruiting more of those who follow the thoughts and mindset of the other gang members to promote their beliefs, causes and power, no matter right or wrong, legal or not.

#4:
To gang up on; to attack as a group:

What was once called Ganging upon physically is now known as "Swarming" which is a form of inflicting terror upon the subject that has been chosen to attack. That kind of ganging can be done in various ways:
by 2 or more people mocking and ridiculing another for various purposes, to instill Terror, for Humiliation, to Pressure others into doing their bidding , in some cases just to allow for the "Gang"  to fulfill their wishes of recognition, authority over others, to aggressively defend that particular gang and denounce their rivals while defending the negative of their gang upon others.

I am a sportsman, love the outdoors and all that goes with it, I sometimes (mostly out of boredom) like to  call going "Fishing", as a rule I openly bring out the truth of Political Parties, which a few times gets some retaliation by the party supporter's, who call me a liar and want proof of what I say , of which I supply 99.9% of the time; while those who ask, refuse to accept the evidence 99% of the time, with comments of take it to the courts then if you have so much evidence: you can't take criminal acts to be investigated of those who break the laws, when they are the same associates that make the Law's.

So I went fishing to find out what would happen when a situation was brought out to the Political Party followers. The first thing to happen was a form of defense, that used a rivals similar situation, to justify the actions of their rival Political Party, as in "if they can do it why can't we" , " they did it more" and many other reasons for the wrongful acts of their Party, this goes for all Political Party supporters. Where is this going to lead us? to the same situation as the States where a Party Leader/Candidate makes statements of aggression towards individuals or will it get worse as some people carry their Political beliefs higher then they do their religion's, and we all know from history on how religious beliefs have caused many violent conflicts.

I write this as I had gone "Fishing" out of curiosity of how aggressive Political Party Supporters are or can be, I picked a particular person to do this with as ( person I never met) I had been placed on a list called "Enemies of Freedom", when I went to this person with a partially true comment I was then attacked by a few others, this attack lasted over an hour and the attacks were coming in so fast I wasn't able to keep up with all of what they had to say, I became over whelmed with the flood of comments, from them defending their Party & its Leader, defamatory comments of other Parties, to being called what ever they considered an insult, a Marxist, Communist, Socialist, Liberal ,etc; having my words twisted to fit their Parties agenda of various topics and to denounce another Party that I wasn't supporting, or mentioned until after the discussion took into that direction, it had started to get way out of hand, if it wasn't for important offline obligations ( I do have responsibilities & obligations in life) I would have kept up the "discussion" to gain more insight into the extremes these people would have gone. As the main topic of discussion that started it all was over the handling & wasting of Billions and the possibly not so criminal actions, along with actual criminal actions by the Political Parties involved in this discussion.

Now back to the Title of this posting "Gangs; what are they" , from the definitions above and the actions related in this posting, the Political Parties in Canada are no different then any Street or Outlaw Biker Gang's, they all follow the Websters definition of "GANG", in every aspect , including to fulfilling requests of support  by those who are party members over those who are not, regardless of which level of Governments or which agency that is being dealt with.

Political Parties or No Parties Period?

MPs slam 'obscene' Tory patronage posts  is the head line on CBC

Majority of the comments was about the other political party did that as well.
comment by friend L.G:
"You know what gets me ... is they all do it .... the liberals were so bad at this its not funny. Many departments are still controlled by the liberals .... all of them do these appointments because they know if somthing goes wrong with an election"

 IMHO:
What we need is either an Honest Political party or abolish the Party system and stick with Independents, through them we can then, elect out of the Independents as to who will speak on behalf of Canadians. Place a Law; that at any time Citizens can petition for a Bi-election on that person, a recall or impeachment of any Political figure that Canadians feel who is not doing their job in the interests of Canadians as a whole. Any future corruption, criminal acts or mis-use of elected position will result in Incarceration.

Thats why I say abolish the party system which put an ending partisanship, which seems to be a major issue for everyone, from stacking the political views to corruption. Not to have those who have proven to be there for Canada as a whole, lose their positions, at one persons command, which is happening in Federal Government as well as Provincial

Therefore I believe to have the communities, choose their own community speaker, each community speaker takes concerns to regional speakers ( of whom are chosen by all those before them) keep working that way to national /international speaker for Canadians, we all have a say in our particular interest to make the decisions for Canada as we do for our individual lives.
Basically the same thing that we have now, just no party involvement, with 100% say of Canadian  Business with-in our Nation; along with International Relations: Granted to the Citizens of Canada as a whole and within their own communities, to make their voice known to the concerns of their community where those voices set the census of the community

I went and took a look at my Garden

I went and took a look at my Garden, in an attempt to get away from the situations at hand, while getting back to the basic’s of life.

Between years of attempting to expose the corruption within our Respective Governments, and seeing others make reference to the disabilities of others; as an arguing starting situation, “too each their own but don’t force it on to me”!
After taking a good look at this thought provoking subject; I asked myself, people are against many things:
Racism’s/ Prejudices of
·        Religion
·         Race
·        Disability
·        Political
·        Ability
·        Personalities
·        Speech
·        Actions
·        Thought
Most of this due to personal belief and the right to express so; many follow that right, past the extent, that fits the situation; which then becomes a personal decision of right and wrong, by following the same rules of Law/ Constitution; “for themselves only not allowed for others” ; creating a culture of self worth belief, where everyone’s concern is material /credit/ social position etc. From the common citizen to the worlds leaders the same attitudes are there.

Alias we have Governments that are proving more each day that the Country as we knew it is no-longer recognized by our Governments, as all it has become is nothing more then another weekday Soap Opera (ever watch/listen to your legislature/ Parliament) ; only the Actors are real (those in your legislature/ Parliament ) as are the lives of the Citizens.
Welcome to Real Life Monopoly; Where Canadian Elite are being charged in other Countries for Corruption; in Canada Politicians/Agencies are being accused of International Espionage, let alone the domestic actions of the same. We as the People want our Rights when Federal offices are being closed down, individual Rights legislators, prevent any actions of concern where necessary, but allowing for other concerns to be publicly addressed.
When did all this start?

Is it caused by our Governments in Canada allowing the Bureaucrats to make Personal decisions of our individual lives for their personal gain?

Is it from Corporations that deal with the Bureaucrats to get what they want? Just by Lobbying for legislation that violates the Rights of Canadians?

Corporations that have more control of the Government will guarantee only the employed will be happy (except for the bills/taxes they have to pay), even then if any discontent of the worker then it is a lock out/ strike depends on who the Corporation is, some may close that particular area of employment, deny others of medical care, violate your Rights as they wish, while our Governments ignores the situation; offering them tax breaks ; turning a blind eye to the crimes committed and then if you speak out about it you are punished, one way ,shape, form or other, you will be punished least that is the way it is felt in Progressive Conservative Alberta and it is seems to be reenacting at the Federal levels.

So what do we really have to do?
IMHO we have to stand for what’s Right for everyone as a whole. If you don’t want it done to you: then don’t do it to others, in every manner

Are Arm's Length Government Agencies in Reality an N.G.O ? ( non-government organization) what is a N.G.O or should say who?

A non-governmental organization (NGO) is a legally
constituted, non-governmental organization
created by natural or legal
persons
with no participation or representation of any government.
In the cases in which NGOs are funded totally or partially by
governments, the NGO maintains its non-governmental status by excluding
government representatives from membership in the organization. Unlike
the term "intergovernmental organization", "non-governmental organization" is a term in general use but is not a
legal definition. In many jurisdictions, these types of organization are
defined as "civil society organizations" or referred to by other names.

The legal form of NGOs is diverse and depends upon homegrown variations in each country's laws and practices. However, four main family groups of NGOs can be found worldwide:[19]
NGOs are not subjects of international law, as states are. An exception is the International Committee of the Red Cross, which is subject to certain specific matters, mainly relating to the Convention" class="mw-redirect"">Geneva Convention.

There is a growing movement within the “non”-profit and “non”-government sector to define itself in a more constructive, accurate way. Instead of being defined by “non” words, organizations are suggesting new
terminology to describe the sector. The term “civil society organization” (CSO) has been used by a growing number of organizations, such as the Center for the Study of Global Governance.

The term “citizen sector organization” (CSO) has also been advocated to
describe the sector — as one of citizens, for citizens. This labels and positions the sector as its own entity, without relying
on language used for the government or business sectors. However some
have argued that this is not particularly helpful given that most NGOs
are in fact funded by governments and business and that some NGOs are
clearly hostile to independently organized " people's organizations".

As from previous posting's, we learned in the History of the Workers Compensation Board of Canada, it was based off the Compensation practices of Chancellor Von-Bismark. From that meeting of Sir Merrideth and other Countries examining his system they formed an International N.G.O, which is what we have today. Approximately  5 years later W.W.I broke out and we know the out come from there;
The League of Nations (LON) was an inter-governmental organization founded as a result of the of Versailles"">Treaty of Versailles in 1919–1920, and the precursor to the United Nations. At its greatest extent from 28 September 1934 to 23 February 1935, it had 58 members. The League's primary goals as stated in its Covenant included preventing war through collective security, disarmament, and settling international disputes through negotiation and arbitration.[1]
Other goals in this and related treaties included labor conditions,
just treatment of native inhabitants, trafficking in trafficking"">persons and trafficking" class="mw-redirect"">drugs, arms trade, globalhealth, prisoners of war, and Treaties"">protection of minorities in Europe.

The UN came into existence on October 24, 1945, after ratification of the Charter by the five permanent members of the Security CouncilChina"">Republic of China, France, USSR, Kingdom"">United Kingdom, and the UnitedStates — and by a majority of the other 46 signatories.{{citation
needed|date=April 2010}}

The League of Nations formally dissolved itself on 18 April 1946 and transferred its mission to the United Nations.

So out of this we have an International-Government body that stands up for Rights and Freedoms and N.G.O's that work against our Rights and Freedoms, was this the thoughts of pre - W.W.I, where as N.G.O's would do all the business while the Government sat back and dictated to them all and the N.G.O's were allowed total control of the entire population?

How far back in History has our Rights being Ignored and slowly removed ?
http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=34412&Cr=indigenous&Cr1=
If this is the case then why does our Canadian Government allow these violation's of United Nations Rights and freedoms to go to the extent they are? After all look at the closures of Human Rights Offices in Canada, the people that were turned away from their doors; maybe we need a closer look at who runs the N.G.O's,
the heads of the major multinational corporations, international banks, world financial institutions, global governing bodies think tanks; powerful individuals of the likes of: David Rockefeller,  various European monarchs, including,Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, daughter of founding member, Prince Bernhard , Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos of Spain

According to The Globe and Mail, such Canadian Prime Ministers have, in the past, (often before becoming
Prime Minister), attended a Conference as a guest, including:Pierre Trudeau, Jean Chretien, Paul Martin

and Stephen Harper, Conrad Black and others , including International Heads of State.

This particular statement is very disturbing

Tony Blair
attended the conference before becoming Prime Minister, as did the current British Prime
Minister, Gordon Brown, who also recently called for the establishment of a "new world order."

Which is very scary to me , as it looks like to me that those who believe in the New World Order have infiltrated the United Nations.

btw way N.G.O is another term for Board, Commission, Corporation, Association

What if Organized crime is bigger then the Police can handle?

Is Calgary police Service going to need Interpol's help?
http://bit.ly/9EtH3L
Especially when the investigation gets to http://bit.ly/beBCDd   ; http://abusebyalbertasworkerscompensation.blogspot.com/
& ; http://bit.ly/b8SAPe ?

The later is where they should start IMHO if they think it can be done in this totalitarian/ authoritarian/ corrupted country our Governments have put us in.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IiBSdBDeucU&feature=related

So if nothing is done about the Organized Corporate Crime, which can be considered Criminal Capitalism, does that make Canada a Corrupt Capitalistic Country; which would be better for Canadians ?
Monarchy or Despotism ?
